INSTRUCTOR PROFILE

  Samuel Scott

Since receiving a Masters in History and Museum Studies from Tufts University in 1998, I have worked in maritime museums trying to develop new and interesting approaches to the discipline of maritime art and history. I worked as curator of the Cold Spring Harbor Whaling Museum on Long Island from 1997 to 2000 before moving on to the Peabody Essex Museum in 2001. In addition to the traditional American realm of maritime history, I have worked with European, Caribbean and Pacific collections and subject matter.
