John Dowling
  JOHN DOWLING received his AB and Ph.D. from Harvard University. He taught in the Biology Department at Harvard from 1961-64. In 1964 he began teaching at John Hopkins University, where he held an appointment as Associate Professor of Ophthalmology and Biophysics. He is now the Gordon and Llura Gund Professor of Neurosciences and Co-Chair of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences Standing Committee on Mind, Brain, and Behavior.
