David Ferry
  DAVID FERRY in 2011 was awarded the Ruth B. Lilly Prize by the Poetry Foundation, for lifetime achievement. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and Honorary Fellow of the Academy of American Poets. He has been awarded the Teasdale Prize, A Guggenheim Fellowship, an Ingrid Merrill Fellowship. His Of No Country I Know: New and Selected Poems and Translations (University of Chicago Press) won the Lenore Marshall Prize, and the Rebekah Johnson Bobbitt Prize from the Library of Congress. He has translated the Odes of Horace, the Epistles of Horace, the Eclogues of Virgil, The Georgics of Virgil (all published by Farrar Straus & Giroux) and is at work on a translation of Virgilís Aeneid. His newest book of poems is Bewilderment: New Poems and Translations (University of Chicago Press, 2012). His Gilgamesh: A New Rendering in English Verse (Farrar Straus and Giroux) was a finalist for the National Book Critics Circle Award,
