  IOANNIS EVRIGENIS is Professor of Political Science at Tufts University. He is the author of Fear of Enemies and Collective Action, for which he was awarded the Delba Winthrop Award for Excellence in Political Science, and of Images of Anarchy: The Rhetoric and Science in Hobbes's State of Nature, as well as co-editor of Herder's Another Philosophy of History and Selected Political Writings. He has written extensively on sovereignty, obligation, and the history of political thought, and is editing Jean Bodin's Six Bookes of a Commonweale.
