  Kate Melchior
   
  KATE MELCHIOR is the Student Program Coordinator at the Massachusetts Historical Society in Boston, MA. After spending several years researching Austrian Holocaust memory with the support of Fulbright grant, her MA thesis at the University of Bristol examined contemporary Viennese memorialization practices. She is a member of The Vienna Project/Orte der Erinnerung memorial project team and has designed content and outreach for their historical program, and has worked at several Boston museum institutions including the Old North Church and the Metropolitan Waterworks Museum. In her position at the Massachusetts Historical Society, Kate leads student and educator workshops and develops curricular materials based on the extensive collections of the MHS archive. She is also the Massachusetts State Coordinator for National History Day, a primary source-based student research program and competition (www.nhd.org).
