  Nathan Wolff
   
  NATHAN WOLFF is an Assistant Professor of English at Tufts University. He holds a PhD from the University of Chicago and his research interests include 19th century American Literature, Sex, Gender and Sexuality, Critical Theory and democracy and populism in American political life. His publications include Fits of Reason: Political Emotion in the Gilded Age (book manuscript in progress), "Emotional Insanity, Cynical Reason, and The Gilded Age," (Spring 2013): and "Pobrecito, Alessandro: Sentiment and Sovereignty in Ramona"; The Journal of Nineteenth-Century Americanists (Fall 2014).
