David Cunningham
  DAVID CUNNINGHAM is Associate Professor of Sociology and Chair of the Social Justice & Social Policy program at Brandeis University. He is the author of "There's Something Happening Here: The New Left, the Klan, and FBI Counterintelligence," which was published in 2004 by the University of California Press. At Brandeis, he has developed the "Possibilities for Change in American Communities" program, which incorporates a month-long trip around the U.S. in a sleeper bus to teach and learn about historical and contemporary activist work in nearly two dozen communities. His current research focuses on the causes and consequences of racial violence, with an emphasis on the civil rights-era Ku Klux Klan.
