Deborah Cohan
  Deborah J. Cohan, Ph.D. is a trained counselor who has spent years working with violent men, abused women, adolescents and children who experienced violence, and homeless children, she is at work on a memoir about the impact of teaching about violence. She is also writing about what it means to care for aging and ill parents. Deborah earned her Ph.D. in Sociology and a Joint M.A. in Women’s Studies and Sociology from Brandeis University. She received her B.A. with distinction in Sociology and a certificate in Women’s Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a M.A. in Sociology from the University of Texas-Austin.
