  LINDA LEVITAN began studying Ancient Greek in High school and received her Ph.D. in Classical Languages and Literatures in 1993 from Boston University. In Graduate school she taught Latin at the Secondary school level. More recently, she taught Greek and Ancient mythology at the University of Massachusetts. Currently, she is a professor at Stonehill College. She studies poetic values in Greek Tragedy and is working on a study of the word "Charis" in Greek Poetry.
