John Plotz
  JOHN PLOTZ is Professor of Victorian Literature at Brandeis University. He is the author of The Crowd (California, 2000) and Portable Property (Princeton, 2008); his current project is entitled “Semi-Detached: The Aesthetics of Partial Absorption.” He is a Guggenheim Foundation Fellow and a residential Fellow of the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study in 2011-12, and writes regularly for Slate, including a piece on his 2012-13 seminar topic.
