Why Didn't Anyone Tell Me Math Was Fun!: Or: How To Excite Elementary Students Thru Riddles and Puzzles

Sometimes students are turned off in math lessons as what they see are lessons designed to give them fluency and proficiency, and not the reasons why we value these skills. We'll use math riddles and puzzles to enliven the material studied in elementary school, emphasizing interesting real world problems (cryptography, streaming video, gambling, sports, etc.) where this material is useful, and discussing how to convert these to units for classes.
