STEVEN J. MILLER is an Assistant Professor of Mathematics at Williams College, currently on sabbatical at Smith College and Mount Holyoke College. He has written over 40 papers in accounting, computer science, economics, geology, marketing, number theory, probability/statistics, and sabermetrics. He is active in high school mathematics, lecturing and mentoring at programs for talented students, participating in education conferences and writing problems for the American Mathematics Competitions.
