  Amy Kittelstrom
   
  Amy Kittelstrom is a lecturer on History and Literature at Harvard University. She received her doctorate in history from Boston University in 2004 and specializes in nineteenth-century political and religious ideas. Interested in pragmatism, the legacy of the romantic reform movement, and the roots of progressivism, she is currently writing a book tentatively titled The Religion of Democracy: Liberals and Reform in the Nineteenth Century.
