  ANDREA WALSH is a sociologist who teaches in the Program in Writing and Humanistic Studies at MIT, as well as the Women's Studies and Comparative Media Studies programs. Her interdisciplinary teaching and research interests focus on gender, popular culture, and the history of American women. Her publications include Women's Film and Female Experience 1940-50 and various articles on gender, aging, and popular culture.
